Trying to find ways to cope with the realities of adulting, childhood trauma, toxic relationships, and the pain of not being where you desire to be in life and don't know how to get there?
"As someone who’s always struggled with finding a safe space to be myself since I was a kid, For the Hxmies has always felt like home since day one. I’ve never felt so heard and safe before with a group of people that truly respect me and my art. I look forward to figuring things out, rather than dreading doing it alone. I’m truly grateful for the hxmies!"
"For The Hxmies and its community has opened up a piece of me that I didn’t even know existed. I have never been comfortable enough to express my trauma or the inner creative that I am. But this community was full of people just like me. Bringing us together, Mykie has structured a community built off unity for her hxmies."
"We’re a supportive group that's trying to win. We all have our different talents and dreams, but it doesn't change the fact that we're all supporting each other to get there. That's what I love about it. Everybody got their own struggles and problems and we still have the ability to care for each other. That's the thing that gets me."
"It's an inviting space for you to express your creativity and experience other's creative visions. The people there will definitely encourage you to be the best version of yourself, to push your creative vision toward its zenith. It's one of my favorite events that I've ever attended."
"For The Hxmies gives me a greater sense of purpose and fulfillment. They see me and what I can bring to the community. No one is just a bystander, everyone creates this space."
"For the Hxmies taught me to be myself. Being in a safe and clear space to express and just create different things without being judged upon about how my creativity is.
I'm just around a group of genuine people that is just as hungry and just as, you know, human is me."
